Port/Crates

Travel · storage · hire

A crate is a bed with a lid.

Grey cases, foam interiors, travelling frames when the work is going on the road. Not an export timber stamp.

Three duties

Travel, storage, or the run of a show.

We reply with a packing note. No prices on this page.

PC-EXPLODE

Anatomy

Lid, foam, object, walls.

Explode the crate to read the stack. The object never becomes the furniture.

Lid

Seated last. Our number and your reference on the face.

Foam

Cavity cut to millimetres. Density on the Foam page.

Object

Glassine on first. Travel frame if glazed and touring.

Walls

Grey case. Quiet face. Not a stencil yard mark.

What a crate is not

Not an agricultural case.

We do not heat-treat pine for a phytosanitary mark. If the work is a machine going to sea, this is the wrong waterfront.
